911wasalie
I was born in 1929, went to Southey Green School from 1934 - 1938 when we moved to Meersbrook and I went to Meersbrook Bank School for 5 years then we moved to Nether Edge and I went to St. Mathias for one year. Mr. Pool was the Head at Meersbrook and we had a little ditty we used to sing:- Old Mr. Pool he is a fool, He goes to Church on Sunday, He prays to God to give him strength to cane the lads on Monday. The only two I can remember from Meersbrook were Codger Billham and Jack Cooper.

Barry w
You have an older message on Sheffield forum, regarding Roy Wrigglesworth. You mention Roy being a grandfather to you. I am doing research on my family tree and I believe Roy would have been a first cousin to me. His parents Arthur Fred Wrigglesworth and Doris Whittaker. Doris was an Aunt of mine, she was my dads sister. If you have further details on the family I would most appreciate it. ---------- Post added 30-11-2016 at 08:27 ---------- I am Roy Wrigglesworth's granddaughter, unfortunately he past away about 13 years ago now! If you are the granddaughter of Roy Wrigglesworth can you contact me regarding the Wrigglesworth family please Barry Whittaker barryandjanet@yahoo.ca
