jake Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Dont think there is any need for anymore "chrome & carpet" type places - especially since the change in the licening laws means bars can stay open later.. but think a small/mid sized 400-500 capacity venue - ideally with two rooms would do ok as there are no shortage of up and coming nights of various descriptions looking for venues... Gordie Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Not so much night clubs but venues where promoters like myself can really go to town on the sound and the decor for a once a month night, there are enough clubs in Sheffield playing the same sort of music all the time, where is the diversty? Leeds has the west indian centre which puts on some cracking nights, cabbage and rif raf to name just 2, Sheffield has a good underground and free party scene with the best atmosphere and people in the country with more and more people ditching the generic mainstream clubs and searching out somthing different.
