Lee Mapley
Does anyone know what qualifications are required in order to be a qualified gym instructor? You'll need the YMCA Level 2 Fitness Instructor certificate. (£400) 2 to 4 weeks of online study (bone structures, muscles, technique etc.) Followed by 40 hours of work experience in a Gym + a portfolio to complete containing Fitness Programs. A written test & demonstration of a fitness program at a test centre. I'm up to the test part. So far the course has been fairly easy. If you've used a Gym before, you'll find it the same. http://www.fitnessindustryeducation.co.uk/

Lee Mapley
Nice one, thanks for the info Lee! Sounds quite straight forward, have you found it easy? Yes, it's quite easy. As long as you've used a Gym before and understand the basics. i.e. How to design a workout for strength or for endurance, you'll find the course very straight forward.
