chris@25
The Tour of Britain cycle race is coming to Sheffield again next Thursday: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/index.asp?pgid=90168 http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/therace_stage_pages/therace_stage_3_route.asp Does anyone know more about the exact route? I guess they're still coming into Sheffield along Hathersage Road / Ecclesall Rd South after Hathersage but I gather this year instead of coming over the Snake from Glossop they're coming via Strines from Penistone before going over to Bamford and Hathersage. I watched the climb out of Hathersage last year but wondered if the area around Strines would be a good viewing spot this year... unfortunately the map on the web site isn't detailed enough to be able to tell which of the small roads around Bradield they are taking. I guess they've got to go past the Strines Inn, right?
Skatiechik
Just watched them on the midhopstones to strines road. For future information there is only one road which runs entirely from the north moors to the south moors. Been a few accidents in the slippery way around the 90 degree bends from what I have heard.
