holster100
Hello, We're looking at getting an entry-level franking machine. Does anyone know any local suppliers? Has anyone recently gone down this route? What are your experiences? Thanks

Strix
Smart stamp is what you need It's software from Royal Mail that allows you to print your own stamps and labels - pre-paid over t'internet by credit/debit card. If you find you require greater capacity than faffing about putting labels through your printer, you can upgrade to a dedicated label printer (google Dymo)

Jeffrey Shaw
I am looking for franking machine information that how does it work ? Are Pitney Bows the best one ? No. I despaired of its admin. and switched to Neopost.
Jeffrey Shaw
But, either way, you'll save a lot on the postage itself. Second-class small letters cost: a. 50p if stamped; or b. 31p if franked (and they usually arrive next day, just like first-class stamped post). Drawbacks: 1. Rental of machine. 2. Toner. 3. Premium-rate telephone calls to replenish postage credit on machine.
