i was off gardens & used to cross the road with the lollipop lady i think shes was called Norma, i made it to the dizzy heights of "prefect" rem being put in a corner on the stairs for talking,great school both my kids have been ,go there,Mrs Hill now that was scary lady.

Ha ha, the lollipop lady was called Norma - she's my Mum - woe betide any driver that shot through when she was in the road - she used to whack the car with her lollipop stick:hihi:

i lived on the gardens too and still do.yes the lollipop lady was norma and i used to cross with her aswell

I lived on the gardens too, can remember crossing with the lollipop lady and going to the sweet shop at the bottom of the road before walking up that hill to school.

yes i remember the shop at the bottom of the hill it was called annes i think.Iremember getting 2 ounce of american creme soda sherbet on my way up after dinner

yep, the shop was called Ann & Tony's (he was an ex copper) and before then it was my Aunty Kitty's shop.

I went to the Infants school 1943-46. The only teacher I remember was a Miss Sibley and the only pupils Ann Brown,Christina Crowther and Jimmy Simpson.
