NEKRO138 Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 1917 club is good to see bands that are up and coming. Harrisons and Bromheads Jackets, Gentlemen, Golden Age have all played. It used to be at D&R Live, under the Boardwalk, now it's moved above the DnR Bar on Arundel Gate. Should be starting up again soon. Plug's ok for more established bands too, and the grapes. noseyrosie Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 I'm NOT a promoter (like, I believe, some of the above), so here's my impartial opinion as a fellow indie fan (and vice-pres of my uni's indiesoc): Small gigs: Grapes Boardwalk DnR Live under the Boardwalk Big gigs: Leadmill Plug Clubs: Leadmill Corporation That's what a standard Sheffielder would tell you.
