Are there any good fish restaurants in Sheffield?

I understand that Catch at Crosspool (above Artisan) is excellent. I haven't been myself but have heard good things from my mates.

bluwater at victoria quays does excellent seafood but it does pay to call in advance to check the daily specials. lovely restaurant tho, especially on those balmy summer eves

Blue Fin at Hunters Bar is also excellent. It pays to book in advance, especially towards the end of the week.

Catch was ok in my opinion, nothing special, and I prefered the fish options at Artisan - it's sister restaurant.

 

Mediteranian on sharrowvale road has an extensive fish menu. Service is friendly.

 

Bluefin on Hunters bar is also supposed to be excellent - though I've not been there.

Restaurant 23 looks like they have some nice fish dishes, see the other thread.

Catch good - depends on the season. Artisan excellent, but limited fish choice. Bluefin v good; will order fish in e.g. razor clams if you speak to them in advance. Oh the mediteranian. What a blast from the past; forgot how good it is, especially Saturday afternoon. Huge range of fish and good tapas too.

I went to Thyme Cafe earlier this month and was surpised by the range of fish dishes! great atmosphere for a group of friends.
