Anyone remember "The Lobster Crew?"

My Uncle Wilf used to tell me stories of this gang who used to frequent the area around Whitham Road some time in the early 1980s. Apparently they were a situationist bunch of lads whose trademark act was to batter their victim and leave a single lobster claw on their prone body. I was told they were formed from the ashes of "The Crab Commune", a bunch of violent hippies who'd lived on a commune up near Redmires Reservoir, their crustacean theme stemmed from the fact that several members of the gang smelt of fish.

 

I've been down Broomhill of late asking about The Lobster Crew in various pubs but all I seem to get is blank looks and awkward silences.
