Cynic Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 Does anybody know if I can get someone to come and fit a freestanding cooker that has a gas hob and electric oven? I assume there aren't many CORGI gas fitters who are also qualified electricians but maybe wrong? Has anyone had done it recently by someone they would recommend? Strix Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 Is it a socket? if it's only the oven that's running off it, you can install it on a plug. It's only when you're trying to run a 2kW oven and 2 or 3 1kW hobs that you need a separate cooker supply Although you could probably shove your own gas hose on the gas pipe and tighten a clip round it, you won't have testing equipment for leaks, so I suppose you're stuck with having a gas engineer out for that one though Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
