pattricia
Longley Hall farm still stands but has been turnd into offices. As far as I am aware its never been associated with Longley farm dairies which is above Holmfirth. I have taken a couple of pics of it, the first being the original building that has been fully refurbished and the second is the new part being built recently that ajoins the old building with a glass porchway. sorry the pic of the original buildings not great as it is almost covered by greenery from floor to roof. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f6/cycleracer/LongleyHallfarm004.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f6/cycleracer/LongleyHallfarm001.jpg Wonder if Jabbers has seen these photos ? Grahame
Hi Jabbers. I drove past Longley Hall this afternoon and it has "Longley Hall" on a name plaque fastened to the wall. This was on Longley lane. I would have taken a photo if I'd had my camera.

Grahame
Have a look here Jabbers. It is about the old workhouse at Firvale and Goddard Hall is there as well. (Scroll down the page a bit) I found it very interesting and I was impressed about the tender loving care that was given and also the cleanliness. I thought it would be like a doss house but I couldn’t have been more wrong. See for yourself. Seems like a shame it shut down judging by the pictures. http://www.workhouses.org.uk/index.html?Sheffield/Sheffield.shtml
