CBZ06
Just like to mention a new addition to the DQ calender, a once a month night called Electro, this will be an after party for Hed Kandi, starts this Saturday 4th Nov 2am - 8am. DJs will be Funk Junkies and Sandy Turnbull for the opener to be joined by Martin Doorly of Speed Queen for December. Sorry to hear that woodseats had an iffy time there but i've never seen anything like that in DQ, the place is really swish and more on the sophisticated side, definitely not a chav hangout. Electro will be in the upstairs section of the venue from 2am onwards If you fancy a proper late one this Saturday we look forward to seeing you. ERGO
Popped in on Saturday and i must say I was very impressed. As with anything good it will take a little time to get everything right but having seen what the management have done with downstairs I can't see it taking very long before their goals are achieved. Well done guys.

d_steves
about what the guy said about the door staff; It wouldn't take too much of their time, or effort, to actually be welcoming... or say thanks when we left? overall, we popped in twice in the last few days, to try you out on different nights... i have to say for the quality of drinks (good, but not all worth the money in my opinion) and the general atmosphere (a bit confused; but it will take time to work out what dj's suit what night etc so that's not necessarily a fault i was happy to return... but, i was really unimpressed with the door staff. in a venue which purports exclusivity on the door, but a relaxed atmosphere inside, charges that little bit extra, but just doesn't give it... my experience was tinged with disappointment. with such a distance between the door and the venue, there is something in the mind of a customer that needs to be put at rest. if they are thinking 'how rude, i'm having to go up all these stairs and haven't even been welcomed yet... should i bother?'. That could so easily be turned into 'oh, he was a nice guy, i wonder what's going on upstairs?' 'hello, how are we this evening guys?' ... [opens door for customer] 'thanks, hope to see you again soon...' easy!!
