Texas
An addition to the gang which worked in Scunthorpe during the 50's, ( see my post on the thread mentioned by hillsboro) was a guy named Vin Norton. And possibly a Ken Eggleton. All of them were window fixers and made a fortune.
Choirgirl
Hi again otters - rang a friend last night who still lives in the Sheffield area. We first met when we both started work at Mellowes and I rang to ask her if she remembers Charles Jarvis. She stayed at Mellowes a good many years after I left and she does remember "Mr Jarvis" has we had to call them then, no christian names! She says he was a real nice man and a gentleman.
