Will be in 2 see what its like hope its a mixture of Classic and Nu-Rock as it would be nice to see somewhere mixing both together and not having separate rooms. Will be in 2 see what its like hope its a mixture of Classic and Nu-Rock as it would be nice to see somewhere mixing both together and not having separate rooms. So do come down and check us out Friday 3rd because I promise it will look better than it does now. Remember its just a few initial changes and some re-arrangement of fittings, and other stuff happening on an ongoing basis. Next year for example we will extend out to the back yard area (which no one really knows is there), and create a beer garden (aka 'smoking solution' for the smoking ban next Summer) The music policy in general for Friday/Sat will be a good mix of old and new stuff, think along the lines of classic rock tracks from Black Sabbath, Motorhead, AC/DC, Maiden, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Lynard Skynard, Deep Purple, Zeppelin, Foreigner, etc, blended with a wad of new stuff like Wolfmother, Muse, RHCP, Los Prophets, Audioslave, etc, perhaps with a dash of classic Punk and other mysterious ingredients in the melting pot. Plus we will be very request friendly so dont be afraid to see if we have got anything.....if we dont have it, we will get it! Sunday will be pure classic rock and nothing else, Monday to Thursdays a blend of old and new with some specialist nights to come later. We will be featuring regular live music starting later in the Month.... Have a lot of work to do in the coming week!
goldenfleece
We will be looking for live bands to play when we kick off with our live music facility later in the month, so if you think you may be interested in doing a gig at the Dove and Rainbow, email/PM me and I can take your details. There will be full details of yet to come in-house PA system for live music use in due course. There is a basic web site under development at the moment, which will be updated later in the week. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces down there on Friday 3rd November, so come and check us out. There will be a selection of real ales, plus a good range of spirits and wines, and cocktail pitchers, plus classic and new rock disco from 7pm to Midnight.
