depoix
He is very fortunate he is not in court. The muggers could have had him prosecuted for physically attacking them but looks as if they have let him off the hook this time.what a load of rubbish
Agent Orange
You are missing the point, he committed an aggressive act which could be contrieved as going over the top in belting out at the four muggers. Forget his age this as nothing to do with it and is only there to sell newspapers. The point is he has got away with it this time. Hardly. He committed an act of self defence. He was going about his business when he was set upon. With the first kid, he did everything he could to stop his attacker, he didn't go over the top. As for the other, he stopped the attacker from kicking him in the head. Seems like reasonable force to me. Would you say the same if it was your granddad? Reading the article it's self-defence and he used reasonable force to stop them. What do you think constitutes self-defence? Please enlighten us, or are you in support of the muggers? Until you can provide evidence that that was the outcome of this story from 2006, i'll assume that nothing further happened.
drmarten
“Police in Bielefeld are still looking for his attackers.” Sounds like fantasy to me…. Most of us on this forum could not fight off 4 schools girls and we are not 70 year old!
mancom
I am afraid your knowledge of the law is limited. The CPC have enough evidence here to make a case in favour of the four muggers and take legal action against this man regardless of his age which is irrelevant by the way. Okay, you legal know it all. If the soldier got into trouble for defending himself, then perhaps he should habd his poissessions over and then wouldn't bhave to fight. Closet Guy.
Nothing humorous about appearing in court and getting a criminal record. He was out of order in attacking the muggers and could have been prosecuted. This is a serious statement and not light hearted banter, Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah:loopy:
mancom
If anybody ,ugs you, there is no point reporting it to the police because they arew never identified and you never get your possessions back. Give them as much force as you can and leave it at that.
