beany77
I can advise you who not to use and that's Acorn. Terrible service (terrible being an understatement) and when I wrote a letter of complaint afterwards I got shouted at down the phone. Disgraceful company. wmoham001
Hi, I am planning on moving house around Christmas. S5 area. Only 1.5 mile between the two properties. Was planning on hiring a van and getting a mate or two to help me move. But just wondering does anyone have any idea how much a removal company may charge? (if not for anything else but to save the strain on my back!). I just want a rough figure is possible 2 beds, 2 sofas, dining table with 6 chairs, washing machine, tumble dryer, tv with stand, 1 double wardrobe, trampoline, and a garage full of packed boxes are the big items. I will box, pack, bubble wrap pretty much everything for ease, beforehand. But if anyone has gone through a similar situation, would love some idea of cost involved... Many thanks. OrganiseChaos
You might find a removals company cheaper than hiring a van if its a small job. Have you tried ringing them for a quote? We've used Specialised movers in the past, good quick and reasonable price - their number is 2611183

Bikertec
The men on here would charge between £60 and £70 for two men for two hours, which it should take.

Yorkiescot
My son has just used Andysvan.com. He needed 2 men and cost was £30 per hour. They worked like Trojans, and did an excellent job.
