I have recently bought a pair of 18oz gloves and everytime I use them for sparring / pad work my wrists hurt at the end of the session. I'm confident that I wrap my hands properly and I never had any wrist trouble using 12 oz gloves. I'm looking to spend around £50....any suggestions where I should go? getphysical Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Have you discussed this problem with your coach? Moving from 12oz to 18oz gloves is a big jump. Your arms get tired quicker making it harder to focus on technique, which is probably why your wrists are getting sore. We supply many of the members of Wicker camp with their gloves, Christian knows us very well. Maybe some laceups would give you more support. We could supply them. Get Physical 285 Ecclesall Road.
