Manor Lane gun site - squatters

Does anyone know of anyone who was a squatter or squatters children, just after the war in the army camp which was based at Manor Lane. opposite the farm. Just about where Seaton Crescent is now.

 

The squatters took over the army huts, there was 15 families, who lived in the ex army huts because they were homeless.

 

The corporation were going to evict them because the sanitary conditions were very poor and had offered them alternative accomodation at Firvale institution, they refused to go and were eventually transferred to Norton camp.
