Has anyone seen Outroads? http://www.outroads.co.uk/flash.htmlThey sound like a proper band who should be too big to play the smallish venues that they do (apart from playing to 15,000 people in Chile it seems to mainly be Ruskins and the Bath Hotel). They have an unusual sound that mixes classic/ indie rock with blues harp and a very English sounding violin. The singer has an amazing voice that can move between a throaty roar and quiet intimacy.

I hope I'm not doing them a disservice here, I'm not too hot on the describing music thing.

Sun are also a fantastic jazz/soul/rock/reggae/uncategorisable band but only seem to play every now and again at random. I saw them do an amazing gig at The lantern Theatre. The singer/songwriter sometimes crops up to do his solo thing at the Broadfield open mike on Sundays. I can't recommend him enough, he has a scary amount of talent and deserves world domination.

Folk/rock band Silverwheel http://www.silverwheel.net/ are too good for words. They're a perfect distillation of all that is good about the wonderful Treebeard http://chrisgabadon.demonweb.co.uk/treebeard/ and it's many offshoots. They can transport you to another world and should be given the keys to the city.
