JamesBlond
anyone know where I can find the pubs, bars with the most bizarre in-house furnishings and wacky designs? Any help would be great?
goldenfleece
DOVE AND RAINBOW still has its original 3d relief wall sculptures of heads, plus wall mural, all left over from the whacky TUT N SHIVE Whitbread pub theme of the early 1990's......the doors nailed to the ceiling have since been removed, which was another TUT N SHIVE chanin pub design theme.... Sheff Chick
I went to a pub in Barnsley at the weekend which has a man having his throat cut on the way in and then the elephant man is on a balcony watching over you in an outdoor court yard with a dog at the side of him. It was a wierd place!!
Johnh
Take a look at the wacky people drinking Magners Cider in the Bankers Draft at 10am in the morning! Does that qualify as decor?? Could be classed as moving art?
Tyranna
Take a look at the wacky people drinking Magners Cider in the Bankers Draft at 10am in the morning! Does that qualify as decor?? Could be classed as moving art? I'd say the same when I occasionally still do drag at Dempseys... Bizarre decor: Casbah has those unusual round windows in the ground floor, where you can sit with your drink and watch the world outside.
Bilge
The Brown Bear is sort of interesting.
goldenfleece
Try any Estate 'flat roofed' pub in Sheffield, especially SOuth and East side of town, and experience the true delight of Indian Take away 'flock' wall paper, 1970's patterned carpets, etc......some real delights to find on the nostalgia decor front....
