waddy Posted November 24, 2006 Share Posted November 24, 2006 My grandad lived here in 1926 in house 1 and my gran in house 11.I would like to find out more about bishop street and also any info about my grandad william ward born 1905.He was a decorator painter and his father william henry was of the same occupation.looked on ancestry with no luck. George Posted November 24, 2006 Share Posted November 24, 2006 i can remember bishop street,it was at the back of moore street and hedford street,remember had a chip shop on the corner with a monkey cage at side of it,think the owners son brought a monkey back with him when in the navy. It finally closed in 1847.
