Free Sunday Lunches Are Back!!!

We went on Sunday. We didnt book as it was quite spontaneous that we went as we were out shopping. Anyway went and enquired, we bought two pints of coke which came to £5 and then the two roasts which were free. When they came they were nicely presented and ok sized postions. Everything tasted homemade (not the microwave stuff you get in pub chains).

Anyway we really enjoyed and will probably be back for more!

hi,

it is on every sunday for the forseeable future!!!

everything is home made and you can certainly tell that in the taste!!

It isnt 100% essential to book but we do advise it as we only prepare the amount we believe we are going to get the trade for!! if we have 200 bookings we will prepare 200 but if not many bookings we will only prepare what we expect to shift!!!

see you all soon

Hmmm.

Took a couple of clients today. Arrived at 12-15pm.

A sign was displayed on the door saying that 'due to unforseen circumstances the venue was closed until 5pm'

We'd made a special trip too (given that we don't live in Sheffield)

Fortunately the Fat Cat was open so we didn't starve.

Hi

Yeah same for us too. We had booked in for Sunday lunch, I had been working and my elderly mother had made a special trip into town to go for lunch together. I had been before and had recommeded it to her and wanted her to try it too.

We got there, doors were open, lights were on, got inside to be told that they were closed due to unforseen circumstances and wouldn't be open until 5pm.

Ok, it's a free meal, but we'd have spent a fair whack in the drinks department while we were there... so it would have been nice to have been given a quick phone call to tell us not to bother turning up or trailing out in the crappy weather we were having yesterday!

Instead a nice afternoon was spoilt and we had to go elsewhere for food which eneded up costing us £20 more than we had expected to be shelling out!

Advice to future bookers, call and book, and call again about an hour before you're due to be eating!

Not impressed this times guys.. sorry.. but hope the 'unforseen circumstances' were soon sorted out!

hi all,

apologies for the forced closure of Sanctuary on Sunday, this was beyond our control and was due to a power failure to parts of the bar and kitchen making it impossible for us to open until the problems were resolved.

All is ok now and lunches should resume this sunday!!

apologies for any invonvenience caused and we hope to see you all again soon.
