redrobbo
Hiya, Before I get into this issue, I need to tell you that I used to love The Balti King which has provided great food at low proces for ages in Sheffield and is rightly regarded as a great night out for little cash. However:rant: As I was waiting for some takeaway at the bar area, I glanced breifly into the kitchen, What I saw appalled me. One of the old chefs in the back SPAT a giant lugey (greeney) accross the kitchen like it was as normal as putting your finger up your ass before preparing food. Just a warning to those concerned with foof hygiene Cheers:thumbsup: I think you should also inform these people of your concerns..... http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/environment/how-we-work/health-protection/food-safety
BasilRathbon
The last time I ate at the Balti King I found a cat collar in my korma.....
Ousetunes
It's just a late night drop-in centre for chemixed students hoping to chew on a bit of curried grissle for under a fiver. Every dish looks the same - it's no tandoori house and never has been. You'd think they'd have managed to correct the misspelling on the shop sign by now wouldn't you? The Balti should say Fuc and after King there's a word missing. That word is 'garbage'.
kittencapes
Personally I have eaten at Balti King plenty of times and have always found it tasty and perfectly clean! The staff are always friendly and I have never had a reason to complain. I think people like slagging Balti King off :wave::wave:

JonnH
Have you been since? I've only really started going there since 2005 so i don't know if it WAS bad, it sure looks okay for a indian resaurant (except for not having coconut icecream)
Guderian
Regardless of the health concerns, all the dishes DO indeed taste the same. Do you ever see any Indians/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis eating there?
JonnH
yeh, but you know the Indian restaurant food over here is actually for british people, i'm told that in India they don't have as many dishes and they aren't anywhere near as hot. If you mean they mostly look like plates or bowls of orangey brown stuff then yes but they are different.
