Amsterdamned
This Wednesday, Liam Dullaghan at The Grapes, with support from The Enquiry plus singer/songwriter Neil McLarty. Doors 8pm and it's £5 in. Formally one half of Leicester's The HaveNots (http://www.myspace.com/justturnleft), December sees acoustic singer/songwriter Liam undertake his first solo dates (including a support slot with Damian Jurado) following the band's split at the end of May this year. With influences ranging from Chris Mills, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, through to Kate Bush, Weezer, Townes Van Zandt and The Lemonheads a veritable treat is in store. As if that wasn't enough you can expect a fine turn in between song banter that would suggest a career in comedy could also have come calling. http://www.myspace.com/liamdullaghan http://www.myspace.com/liamdullaghan2 Support comes from Sheffield band The Enquiry (myspace.com/enquiry) and sees Leeds based Neil McLarty (http://www.myspace.com/neilmclarty) bring his brand of Wilco meets Bob Dylan and Neil Young to Sheffield. Lots of good stuff happening at Under The Boardwalk too, i've got a few gigs coming up there, details of which you can find on my MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/wagonwheelmediapromotion
