Dug
Just noticed on the Tour of Britain website that the route takes the riders down Psalter Lane into town rather than Eccelsall Road.
wicko_boy
Holme Moss is a good place to be as you can see the ascent. It's hardly the Ventoux but it means you get to see the riders for longer. Then, after a short wait, you can follow them down the descent on your bike...scary! Cycleracer
The tour of Britain comes to Sheffield today and can be seen at the finishing point at the town hall about 3 pm today. Anyone wanting to visit the hilly bits, the best spot is the Ringinglow turn off above the Millstone up to Burbage Moor which is were I will be or top of the Snake. Holme Moss is another good point but if driving you need to go early as the roads will be closed. Access is better by bike. Come and support Cycling and enjoy the sunshine too. Internetowl
Any non-cycling bus catching city centre dwellers must remember that Pinstone Street and Charter Street? will be shut for 5 hours so buses will be in chaos during that period. Car drivers can find alternative routes missing these city centre roads.
Agent Orange
Just this minute got back in the office after wandering down to see the guys finish. The place was heaving and I couldn't get anywhere near the side of the road to get a good look at the riders as they wizzed past. This is just the sort of stuff that Sheffield needs so bring on all other sporting events!!!!
Fantomas
Just got back from watching the race at that sharpish corner just below Fox House. Quite a few people turned out, it was all quite exciting! (especially considering I don't have a clue about cycling!)

Dug
Just got back from the finish. Didn't manage to get any pics as there were too many people. Had a nosey around the bikes and riders afterwards though, I'd thought that the security would have been tighter.
