Decent place for a few beers

I'll second or third recommendations for Kelham Island Tavern and The Flat Cap. Been to both many times with visitors to the city; never been let down by the variety and quality of ales available, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and repeat visits are always requested. They're both pretty central and located within a couple of minutes' staggering walking distance of each other.

You are joking aren't you? Last time I was in the average age seemed to be about seventeen and the beer was pi**y.

 

oi! avg age is not 17 and the beer is not pissy. we are very stringent on ID and the beer is fine.

come along and say hi..we even have biffy clyro back on the jukebox now!

Prohibition, The Living Room, Browns, Slug and Lettuce, Firefly, Tiger Tiger.

Sorry but the only one of those that is any good is Prohibition, the others are just poor. I agree that good bars in Sheffield are few and far between but I would say bars like 23, The Harley, and Lounge at least have a little more to them
