Mixwicks
I'm seroiusly considering liposuction for removing some fat that just won't shift however much I diet? Can anyone recommend where to get it done and if it really is permanent?
Halibut
I'm not an expert, Mixwicks, but I'm damned sure it isn't permanent. It'll come back eventually.

I think it is permanent, and that is the problem. It takes away completely fat storage areas. If you put weight on afterwards, if you have had liposuctioned thighs and bum, you will have enormous amounts of fat appearing on your arms or back. poppins
This post should be moved away from the Pikelets & Crumpets post, it's confusing me
nick2
I think it is, you only have so many fat cells, once they are removed they don't grow back. (I think, I'm basing this on Nip/Tuck, so it might not be totally reliable)

Where are all the science guys when you need them?
nick2
If that were the case nick2, how come people can be huge, lose weight then be huge again? they still have their fat cells, they just empty them, then fill 'em up again. (I guess) Think of the fat cells as a big sponge that soaks-up fat and gets bigger.
