irish1 Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Hi - I am looking to move to sheffield to work/live, pretty much into my sports and done a fair bit of mountain biking, triathlon, running, fell running and mountaineering. My climbing has died a bit of a death as not keen on the local wall. what clubs facilities are there in sheffield that would be useful for me. Thanks very much. marmite Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Well, theres alot. From personal experience, i would recommend The Edge for rock climbing, which is a bit of a laugh and also quite fun. I do believe there is a cycling group on the forum, and there is also a sheffieldmountainbiking website who organise routes etc. The obvious sports such as tennis, badminton, squash, golf etc, are all available, and most areas have a club (tennis that is) Theres more going on in Sheffield than you might imagine, and im sure you will have no worries in finding an activity to suit you.
