Course they were. They pretend that a Cup run was irrelevant and would have been harmful to our Premiership prospects so they don't have to face up to getting thumped by a team two divisions below us. This is normal practice; if the Owls had been drawn against Torquay and lost, they'd no doubt be doing the same thing in public, but they'd still be ticked off in private.
