Heeley tyke
I used to love Cough Candy and Raspberry Ruffles. During the war when sweets were on ration, you could get a very good selection of sweets from a small factory in Olivet Rd. Woodseats. To get the sweets, you had to give them a pound of sugar and a shilling for a pound of boiled sweets. The only trouble was that if your parents caught you nicking the sugar ration, you were in for a good hiding!
