mikel
Our aim at Sheffield Running Club is fairly straighforward, Dick - to offer group training and support to those just starting out or aiming to do no more than keep fit, right through to elite competitors who may need mentoring, coaching or a quality group to train with, from schoolchildren through to veteran athletes. As Frankief pointed out about Tracey & Paul, they started as fun runners & got serious! Running doesn't just have to be on roads. Sheffield is blessed with wonderful countryside, which is why we train off road as well, not just in the week but on regular Sundays. And some runners convert to cross country and trail racing from the roads, even onto the fells! Distance running not only keeps you fit but is great fun on the competitive side as well. The diffence between our club and others is that we cater for all expectations when it comes to distance running - & we do socialise as well.
