I heard about this character just today on one of Rony Robinsons phone-in games this morning and was really intrigued. Apparently he is known just as Mr Martin, is disabled - getting around with the aid of two walking sticks, keeps an 8 by 4 mobile shop in a shed in Lowedges - that is a shop thats mobile not a shop selling mobiles, which with the kind assistance of able-bodied neighbours is wheeled out on castors everyday for him to trade. Apparently Mr Martins shop sells everything you name it from sewing thread and needles to black jacks (how does he get it all stocked?). Does anyone know if Mr Martin still trades and where his shop is so I can go and have a look ? Or if he doesn't trade any more does anyone have any memories of him and his shop ?
