Waltheof Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 Perhaps you might also take into account that most of the granite now imported into Britain comes from India, where the quarry workers are badly treated and paid peanuts (including child labour), so what you pay now represents a huge markup by the middlemen with little benefit to the real producers. There is a place in Renishaw that do granite work tops dont know what they are like just seen the sign.The place is on the left as you drive up towards the M1,you pass the Sitewll Arms then the new housing and its the first turning on the left.
