Cycleracer
I am wanting to go and see an Opera and have purchased 2 tickets for La Boheme which has music from Puccini. I am familiar with the music but it will be my first opera. Has anyone seen it and do you have any opinions on it.

If this is your first opera, then it is an excellent place to start. Are you seeing the Scottish National Opera production? If so, I've heard from a couple of friends that saw it that it is an excellent staging. However, the £20,000(!) it costs to stage each night means that the SCO are in serious financial trouble. clogginchris
Cycleracer, La Boheme is a fantastic opera - beautiful music, but I would suggest reading up on the plot etc before you see it - even if its being sung in english!
