chef lee Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 anyone remember this pub(it was joined on to mosbro hall but think its apartments now)used to go there when i was about 16-17 in 1989.had a transvestite dj julia grant(later dj'd at millionaires in town)who played really good records??? yes i use to go was a great night out i was 19 then julia is in benidorm now she got her own small hotel 36 rooms doing drag nights she been on tv a few times she was a right **** taker lol .. modforlife Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 i used to love it there they used to run a free mini bus for people to get there from frechville and then it would bring you back when it closed ohhh good times x I'm assuming it would be EJ from Eckington. He ran a mini bus and charged 50 pence per person to go between Shambles, Crofts (ridgeway Arms nowadays ) , the old Mill at halfway , and Bluebell at Hackenthorpe, and Shirwood at frechville.
