mrteabag
Imposing what ideologies? I think you are going a little over the top here. As I have said the majority want it, that is democracy. Democracy is far removed from fascism. smokers have had to put up with the smokers blowing smoke into our lungs for far too long, now the wind has changed and all of us, smokers and non smokers will benefit. This thread had a positive start with many smokers feeling that this new law will give motivation to quit, the only detractors being yourself and mrteabag who has made some extreme posts saying he will do as he pleases and to hell with anyone else. I don't know about Ideologies but he certainly has no qualms about imposing his fag smoke on anyone. smokers have had enough of you non smokers tuting when we light up i hope the taxes do go up and you struggle and moan cause ill be the first on here saying not you again then laughing my head off and trust me i will and i will still be blowing smoke in public or cant you breathe it in while your stood in street

Whatif wewin
i know 4 landlords that say smoke and if the fascists come in he will say iasked them to stop and they refused hence they pass the blame over to me which i would expect in return for them taking the risk then i get a fine and refuse to pay it return to the pub say thanks and light up again would people like you be happy if someone came up and stopped you doing something you like NO so dont preach mikey so doesnt smoke he was giving examples he's is ok with walking in a pub with people smoking and like he says more people will stop smoking over this and taxes will rise because the tax from smoking will fall then people like you will come out of wood work moaning cause you cant afford to go out for a drink im killing myself by smoking my choice dont stand near me you wont breathe it in Do you think that enforcement officers have not studied the reactions of hard liners like yourself from New York, Dublin Scotland and Wales? Do you really think that after so much time and thought has been put into the application of the law and the practicalities of enforcement that the enforcers will be as easy to fool as you say? If you do you are in for a shock. I am not preaching. What are you on ... If someone tried to stop me from doing something that I liked? Well if it was an illegal activity and they had the legal powers to stop me what do you think I would do? What do most law abiding citizens do? Fom July 1st smoking in a public place will be illegal you do so at the risk of fines. Landlords will get warned at first but will get fined £2000 for each offence. The offence being: allowing smoking in their pub. The smokers will eventually not be welcome by any landlord

OK I will try to respond to your 'mythical pub' 1. Let them all smoke all day long in your mythical pub. My self I prefer real ale. 2. No one agreed with me I was not going to make any real posting on here except for a flippant comment agreeing with a comical post from Slimsid2000. 3. 'Who am I to claim that smokers will benefit' Well all the medical evidence proves beyond any doubt that smoking is bad for your health, and if you smoke in front of your children it will not only be bad for their health there and then but will set a bad example and ensure that the ciggy pushers /companies make millions for ever more by you encouraging the young to ruin their lungs, complexions ability to enjoy sports to the max. 4. You say it is political the anti smoking brigade ... absolute nonsense The tobbacco companies have been paying political lobbyist for years. The politics was to keep the masses on the weed to keep the wealthy ciggy barons wealthy. 5. It has been made illegal to promote better health What on earh is wrong with that?
