The all things tattoo megathread

Recommended Posts

Is it true blues and greens cant be lasered off?? I have a blue, red and green, and a bit of yellow tattoo Im looking to get removed, thanks.

Hi TJC1 no it's not true. They are harder to remove but if you use a Ruby Laser these colour can be moves just as much as Black, Browns Purples and Reds.

It would depend on what your 'end game' is in relation to the removal.

If you will eventually need a cover up then you wont need to remove these colours anyway since it can be covered with ease. Reds can be removed anyway should you want it. Laser is recognised as the most effective tattoo removal treatment, see the wikipedia link in my signature for information on tattoo removal.

If you would like a free consultation and test patch we've got two clinics running in Sheffield and one in Doncaster so will be able to fit you somewhere. Happy to discuss in more detail with you, 0114 360 0876 :)

has anyone on here actually had a tattoo removed??

My husband wants to get rid of a SUFC badge from the top of his arm. There is no way it could be covered up as its bigger than a digestive and mainly black.

He would consider having a new tattoo there once the badge is gone but ideally would like to get rid altogether. Happy to pay for laser treatment but would like feedback from someone who as actually had it done. cheers

Hi, My partner has had a tattoo removed by rejuvi, although he has not had laser removal. He would be happy to talk through the rejuvi method with your husband if he would like to talk to someone that has actually had it done (and who is qualified to remove it if he wishes to proceed).

Give us a call on 0114 2661531, we are based on Sharrow Vale Rd, so easy to reach and cheap parking.

If you want feedback on laser removal I'll speak to a few of my current customers to see if any would be happy to talk to you about it, if that helps.

Black is the ideal colour for laser removal, as well as being fast.

For reduction prior to cover up it requires less treatments overall and we charge a flat rate of £40 per treatment (which can effectively cover up to a half sleeve tattoo).

I've responded to your PM so feel free to get in touch if you need more information. We're located in various studios and salons across south yorkshire, all of which offer free on street parking :)

Hi

I am using Sheff Laser (post above) for a tatoo to be removed at the moment and I would highly recommend them.

They are really friendly, professional and put you at ease.

I had a tattoo partially removed by laser around 10 years ago and had a lot of problems with the company doing it etc.

I only wish that Sheff Laser had been on the go then!! I've had two treatments do far and almost all of the black ink has already gone!

I got several tattoos when I was young and would advise you to wait until you are older and then decide if you want to be tattooed.

It seems to be fashionable nowadays, fashions change but tattoos are permanent.

Try drawing a design on your arm and see if you are still happy with it in a months time.
