jazza
Can anybody recommend cheap / free days out or similar things to do as a family (kids aged 9 & 6). We frequently visit rother Valley and Clifton Park and Weve also done the Museums etc. Im fed up of having to pay through the nose for family days out, ie theme parks / themed locations ie the deep, cadburys world etc Has anyone any ideas / recommendations. They must be loads of families out there who are in a similar situation to us. Whats your favourite (cheap) days out. We'd recommend Clifton Park (Rotherham) to anybody, especially in the summer, It has a paddling pool for the kids and a mini fair with a few new rides around 50p per person, Museum and even a crazy golf (if its still there at the very top of the park)
lennyfalcon
one of my faves is cannon hall farm at cawthorne near barnsley. during summer they have a maize maze which they plant around this time of year. its massive and usually in the shape of sone kinda farm animal..thats about 2 quid. theres also the farm nearby which is brilliant for feeding all the animals and has an adventure park (im not too old to be lovin the death slide) - theres a magic little cafe thats very reasonable and does lovely grub, a farm shop and expansive grounds to stroll round. top notch!!
