eventsteam01 Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 Sheffield chamber hasd begun the search to find the relatives of its founder members. The chamber will mark its 150th anniversary this year with an "Extra ordinary" Board meeting on the 2nd March , re-enacting the forst ever meeting on that day 1857 which led to its formation . Attending the first gathering were some of the city's most powerful men including the first ever president Edward Vickers, Fred Mappin, Thomas Jessop, W.Smith, Ernst Leopold, Schlesinger Benzon and and Mark Firth. Therefore the chamber wishes to invite the relatives of the six men to attend the re-enactment.
