CockneyRebel Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 Seeing as I'm not busy at the mo, I thought I'd take it on myself to try and figure out how to post up a poll. Some of us had a quick chat at the pub last night about the venue that was being used. Hillsborough is good, but quite far away for many who can't drive. Ponds Forge is more central, but not very accessible by car, apparently. Some of you might not mind in the slightest. And some of you may know of an alternative venue. The Badminton club seems to have really taken off, with players of different standards, but has an emphasis on enjoyment, rather than being competitive. If there's a chance of getting a good number of players every week, then the club will certainly grow, which means you get to meet more people and have a bit of a run around. willman Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 it could be worthwhile for some of the players to have a look @ http://www.sheff-bad.co.uk/ for other local clubs. most of these have league teams as well as social members - many i'm sure would welcome new players once you feel up to it.
