longarmdave
Does anyone know anywhere that does Chinese classes? I got back from several months in Taiwan recently, where I started learning Mandarin, and I really want to carry it on back here, but haven't managed to find anywhere that offers it yet. I've tried Sheffield Uni. Asian Studies Dept, TILL, WEA, and Sheffield Hallam but no luck yet (unless I wanted to sign up for a degree). I found some one-to-one business Chinese classes, but that'll be too expensive, and I'm not particularly interested in business Chinese anyway. I'm looking for evening group lessons. Any ideas? upinwath
I'll try to get hold of my old teacher. I think she does private lessons. 保罗

longarmdave
Thanks for the suggestions. I've sent an email to Kind Edwards, and if you could get the details of your old teacher upinwath that would be great.
Ade65
Hi, I think King Teds do Cantonese, not Mandarin. And I think it's at the Upper School, in Broomhill, not the Lower at Crosspool. Mayber try the Chinese community centre on London Road? Ade
longarmdave
The WEA have told me there's a Chinese class in Manchester. Great! I thought Chinese was supposed to be really popular these days.
