Birty
Re-opened yesterday. Went today for an early tea. Totally changed inside, the decor is lovely, many of the old staff are still there are still as friendly, seem even happier in their new surroundings. The meal we had was very nice, came out "sizzling" ('cos if it doesn't you can send it back). The bar area now has a pool table and big screen TV and right at the other end is a rather comfy bar with cozy fire set in the wall. On a terrible day like today it was very warm and welcoming. Oh yes, and the drinks are cheaper than our local pub!

tomsheffwed
nice to hear. Only a minute walk for me, and ive been watching it develop over the last 2 or 3 months now. £5 for a 8oz Steak sounds alright to me!

AlBal
I went in on Tuesday night and was very impressed. The only thing i dont get is the toilets next to the bar have only been painted and thats it, but the toilets at the eating area (which is not blocked off now) have been done up with mirrors and marble sides!! £1.05 for half of carling.
