Help with Blackpool holiday accommodation

Recommended Posts

Can't actually recommend any specific hotels etc, but would suggest heading down the south end and staying in Lytham St Annes. It's A LOT nicer than central Blackpool. It's quite a rich area so it might be a bit more expensive for accomodation, but it's also a bit of a favourite with the older generation, so shops, cafes etc will probably be more to your mum's tastes than the center.

Thanks for that info minkey someone else has also said Lytham St Annes is nicer so you have confirmed what they said. As for the older generation being more to Mum's taste, you have to be joking ! She doesn't like old folk, she certainly doesn't see herself as one of them.

If you are after caravan parks' date=' there is Marton Mere which is quite a bit more inland than all the seafront stuff. Its near Stanley Park. A bit further to the north is Cala Gran at Fleetwood.[/quote']

Hi Mel's Mum,

We are after self catering so I have looked at Marton Mere and although it is great, it's a little bit further out than we wanted. Thanks anyway !
