Mel's Mum
If you are after caravan parks, there is Marton Mere which is quite a bit more inland than all the seafront stuff. Its near Stanley Park. A bit further to the north is Cala Gran at Fleetwood.
Banksia
Can't actually recommend any specific hotels etc, but would suggest heading down the south end and staying in Lytham St Annes. It's A LOT nicer than central Blackpool. It's quite a rich area so it might be a bit more expensive for accomodation, but it's also a bit of a favourite with the older generation, so shops, cafes etc will probably be more to your mum's tastes than the center. Thanks for that info minkey someone else has also said Lytham St Annes is nicer so you have confirmed what they said. As for the older generation being more to Mum's taste, you have to be joking ! She doesn't like old folk, she certainly doesn't see herself as one of them.

Thanks anyway !
Franker
I know a good hotel in lytham st annes, the st ives hotel. I've stayed a couple of times and st annes kind of is for older people but nice if you prefer a quieter stay...
