SafetyPin
I quite fancy a go at paragliding. Anyone on here do such a thing, where do you train and how expensive is it? It looks like a hell of a lot of fun
Singletrack
A mate of mine runs a paragliding school called Peak Air Sports. I don't know how expensive it is though. I'm sure you can use their equipment. http://www.peakairsports.com
bielby
It's great Takes a bit of commitment to get started up - look at a couple of grand for training and some kit and the training is very weather dependent (as is the sport itself) A few local schools - Peak airsports, Derbyshire flying centre, Airways and Parapente paragliding school. Once you're qualified with a school you can join and fly with the Derbyshire Soaring Club (http://www.derbyshiresoaringclub.org.uk) who look after the sites in the Peak. Check out the website of the British Handgliding and Paragliding association too http://www.bhpa.co.uk The forecast for this Saturday looks promising, take a drive out to Mam Tor/Lords Seat and have a chat to one of us on the ground if you can. Sheffield is about the best city in the country for easy access to paragliding, you should give it a go if you're keen
