richjob
probably cos its closer to fuel than upstairs. No sure what you mean ? I am going to Fuel on Friday !!!
SpiderPete
The upstairs bar staff were very friendly but the staff on the downstairs bar had the face on that night for some reason. Downstairs staff are usually more friendly than upstairs, must have had a bad day, or did they switch them round and bring upstairs staff downstairs. You should go to fuEL on Saturday and come with us on the Forum Meet

Geezer
There was a group of us 'straighters' that went to dempseys this weekend and indeed we go quite a few times in the week (yes we are members) because we enjoy the music and the atmosphere and mainly because there is no attitude in the sense that people don't want to kill each other for looking at them 'wrongly' like other night clubs. Does that mean we are resented by the people who are gay and go to dempseys? We cause no trouble, get on with all the people in there and have a fantastic night, whats the problem? Ghostrider
Three of us (gay guys) went to Dempseys on Saturday and we had a very good night. Bumped into some people we hadn't seen in ages. There was alot of young guys in Dempseys who claimed they were "straight" and one of them in a pink and grey stripped jumper was def under age, he looked about 14/15 and had a pint in his hand. The upstairs bar staff were very friendly but the staff on the downstairs bar had the face on that night for some reason. If he was a dark skinned kid with glasses, he isnt under age, as I had ID'd him earlier in another bar where he is a regular....

People like you with the right attitude are always welcome in gay venues. Keep going to Dempseys and having a good time. Cheers.

No, he was not dark skinned. He did look really, really young (baby faced) and a bit lost, in with all the other guys in their group. I was really concerned for his welfare as the gay scene can be a nasty place, chew them up and spit them out attitude.

Tyranna
...Dempseys is doing very well, thank you... Was in there last night, it was packed, and a stripper and karaoke competition were in full swing, in more ways than one! LOL!
