boboskins
Currently listening to Wisp, the best new artist I've heard for years. http://www.last.fm/music/Wisp/_/green+hill+path Sounds like they've basically ripped off Aphex Twin! Been listening to Peter Gabriel: Scratch My Back - The Gabe's cover version project a bit hit and miss this. The stand-out tracks for me are Mirrorball (Elbow), Flume (Bon Iver), Listening Wind (Talking Heads) and The Book of Love (Magnetic Fields). Groove Armada: Black Light - Brilliant album this, Groove Armada do dark 80s electronica. Stand-out tracks for me are Paper Romance, Cards To Your Heart, Warsaw and Shameless (featuring Bryan Ferry). But it's so hard to choose favourite tracks from this as the whole album is so good. Midlake: The Courage Of Others - Someone earlier in the thread mentioned Pentangle, well if you like them you'll love this. I enjoyed their previous album The Trials of Van Occupanther but this one just didn't do it for me. Maybe it needs a few more listens.
