Paul Hartnoll - The Ideal Condition.

His first Solo album since he and his brother disbanded Orbital, and I'm still undecided on it. It's very clever the way he has fused the dirty electronic beats and basslines that were Orbital's trademark with classical music, and there are one or two good collaborations with guest vocalists (namely Robert Smith of The Cure on one of them). There are a couple of real stand-out tracks that are every bit as good as anything he ever did with Orbital, but still not totally sure about the whole album.

I love it when someone occasionally drags this thread up again.

I'm listening to:

Reverend Glasseye and the Wooden Legs (a weird country band),

120 Days (a Norweigian group supporting Klaxons at their first US show, check em out!),

Minus the Bear (lovely stuff. Playing corporation later this year),

Keith Caputo (frontman of Life of Agony's solo stuff),

At The Gates (Swedish death metal from early 90's),

Aphex Twin (you know it baby),

Blink 182 (so sue me),

Tom Waits (mostly the Orphan set),

Zero 7 (mostly The Garden).
