NEKRO138 Posted August 24, 2008 Share Posted August 24, 2008 I got 'Monkey: Journey to the West' by Damon Albarn at HMV and had a listen last night. Overall it is good, some places being extremely clever, but at other points i felt like i was listening to teenager playing with his new keyboard. I think the music would of been aided with someone just pushing Damon in a few different directions. I listened to that on this website, which is excellent for listening to albums upon their release, legally - http://3voor12.vpro.nl/luisterpaal/ I thought pretty much the same, but as it's music for a show I don't know if it can be fully appreciated on it's own.
