dishwasher Posted July 15, 2005 Share Posted July 15, 2005 Another plug for Mr Bowie and the lending library, I,m afraid. This time it's David Live, recorded in Philadelphia in 1974. Disliked it intensely at the time of its initial release, but now it's been given the same treatment as Stage, Bowie's live album released four years later. Remastered etc, songs put in concert-running order etc. Originally, the predominant sound (so I remembered) was the over-elaborate piano playing of Mike Garson. Well, now it's been remixed, and the piano is way, way down. Thankfully. A horn section (which I cannot remember on the original) is way up front. Wonderful. Super stuff. Do you mean how am I listening to it? I like Winamp best. Go to the AFB home page and just click on the icon of your preferred media player. There's option for fast or slow connection speeds - hey presto music will come throgh your speakers. If you have a laptop + wireless connection you can plug into your main music system.
