melthebell
Astralasia - Whatever happened to Utopia? followed by Ballad of the Black Country by Jon Raven (folk stuff). Total trivia point especially for Mel: he also happened to be the father of Paul Raven, who replaced Youth in Killing Joke and later played bass in Godflesh and Prong. who sadly died a while back i almost played an old astralasia 12" earlier while digging through my dance vinyl those mobys put me in the mood for some dance vinyl a few 12"s Moodswings - spiritusl high (throw off the shackles of childhood) The IT (Larry Heard) - Gallimaufry gallery (club mix) - love this record Prodigy - Your love (the bside of the charley 12" single) The Hypnotist - Hardcore you know the score (remix) Stakker - Humanoid (the omen remix) (future sound of london related) MARRS - Pump up the volume Farley Jackmaster Funk - love dont turn around (1986) Beats International - Dub be good to me Daft Punk - harder, better, faster, stronger Shamen - Make it mine (evil ed mix) Shamen - Jesus loves amerikka (1988, pre rave shamen) Christoper Just - I'm a disco dancer (Fatboy Slim remix) Big Muff - My funny valentine (Fire Island groove) (another one of my old fave 12"s) Peach - Sorrow (trouser enthusiasts radio edit)
metalman
I'm on to Burial by Burial now. Despite the fact that this comes categorised as something daft like ambient dubstep, and the fact that it was nominated for some award (Mercury Music Prize I think) and could hence be deemed to be popular, I really like this album. zongamin
I'm on to Burial by Burial now. Despite the fact that this comes categorised as something daft like ambient dubstep, and the fact that it was nominated for some award (Mercury Music Prize I think) and could hence be deemed to be popular, I really like this album. It was the second album 'Untrue' that was nominated for the Mercury. Probably my favourite record of the past 5 years - reminds me of 'Endtroducing'.
